May is Celiac Awareness Month, and we’re lighting up BC green in support!
Between May 15–20, buildings across Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Surrey, White Rock, and Port Moody will shine green to raise awareness for celiac disease.
Show up, wear green, snap a selfie, and make sure to tag us using #ShineALightOnCeliac. You can also send your snaps in to info@bcceliac.ca for a chance to be featured on our website and social media channels!

High Tea Fundraiser
In partnership with Delish Gluten Free Bakery, Celiac BC is hosting a High Tea To Go fundraiser, with kits available to order until Thursday, May 8th at 5pm. Sip and savour your kit's delights from the comfort of your garden, beach or wherever you'd like to celebrate spring. Pick-up from directly from any Delish location (May 6-10) , or you can specify that you would like to collect from one of our in-person pick-up locations in Vancouver or Surrey on Saturday, May 10th between 2 and 5 pm. Did you know that 1% of Canadians live with celiac disease, yet around 80% remain undiagnosed? This May, we’re joining the global #ShineALightOnCeliac campaign to raise awareness and make a difference! Join us outside the BC Parliament Buildings on Thursday May 15 at 8.30pm, and enjoy some gluten-free mini cupcakes from our generous sponsor, Origin Bakery. Come connect with your community, snap some amazing photos, and help us spread awareness about celiac disease and gluten-related disorders! This event is FREE and everyone is welcome! Let’s light up the Pier green for celiac awareness! Join us at White Rock beach (near the pier) at 7pm on Friday 16 May to enjoy a scenic walk and watch the pier glow green in support of celiac awareness day! The first 35 members to show up will receive a goody bag filled with gluten-free treats - including bread, cookies, pasta, coupons and more!
